In 2011-2012 we piloted the Always Learning Gateway with five schools.
Around 50 teachers used the Always Learning Gateway in their lessons across the five sites and approximately 700 students had access anytime, anywhere via alg.pearson.com
The pilot was an opportunity for us to introduce the Always Learning Gateway to a few classes in each school. This enabled us to ask students and teachers what they thought about the gateway. Their feedback was important to us as it meant that we’ve been able to do more of the things that help students to make progress with learning and identify what we could do even better.
The schools had a mix of attributes in terms of size, gender, location and ethnicity. Each school, even those that were already outstanding, had distinctive improvement goals and challenges. The diversity of feedback they have given us has been helping us to develop an approach that is transferable across school contexts.
